"We've got some south-facing juice coming in right now at three feet with that longer interval energy holding around thirteen seconds, and honestly for a Sunday in October that's not terrible. The south county stuff is getting the best of it because those wrapping angles work better down there, while Ventura and Santa Barbara are basically watching from the sidelines since the swell's coming over their shoulder. Orange County and the county seats in between are peeling off decent waves too, the reefs and points are doing their thing with that SSW approach. Looking ahead, tomorrow we get a small bump in size and an extra foot of that secondary WNW energy that could add some texture, then we settle into a pretty pedestrian stretch Tuesday through Thursday where the best you're looking at is ankle-slappers on the secondary. Friday's when it actually gets interesting because we shift to a west swell with some juice behind it and that southern component stacks up, but honestly the window before it goes soft again is maybe forty-eight hours, so if you're thinking about burning a sick day this week, wait for that Friday-Saturday transition. Today's worth the salt if you're bored, but don't expect anything that'll make you remember why you fell in love with this coast."
