Cookie Policy
This describes what SoCal Surf actually uses cookies and similar storage for today. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. See the note above.
When you first visit, you'll see a banner asking you to Accept All, Reject Non-Essential, or manage preferences by category. Your choice is remembered on your device so you're not asked again on future visits. You can change it any time by clearing your browser's site data.
If you accept, this site uses Google AdSense and Google Analytics, both of which may set their own cookies to serve ads and measure traffic. That's governed by Google's policies, not set directly by this app. If you reject either category, that category's scripts are never loaded on your device in the first place, not just hidden.
This app also stores one small preference locally in your browser (light/dark theme choice) using localStorage, not a cookie in the traditional sense. It never leaves your device, isn't used for tracking, and is always on since it's required for the site to function the way you've set it up.
